President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain on Friday has given his assent to Constitution's 28th Amendment bill 2017.
The said bills have already got nod from the parliament. After getting signed from the President, the bills have become Act now.
Under Constitution's 28th Amendment, military courts have been extended for another two years.
Military courts were disbanded on January 7, 2017, after a sunset clause included in the legal provisions under which the tribunals were established, expired.
English daily 'Dawn' reports that till recently, the government and the opposition had struggled to reach a consensus on reviving the courts despite frequent discussions.
The primary concern of critics was the mystery surrounding military court trials: no one knows who the convicts are, what charges have been brought against them, or what the accused's defence is against the allegations levelled.
Proponents say said the courts had acted as an "effective deterrent" for those considering violent acts.
The National Assembly on Tuesday evening passed the 28th Constitutional Amendment Bill to reinstate military courts with 255 votes in favour and four against, surpassing the two-thirds majority required for the measure.

A Rs.50 coin was unveiled at the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Friday to commemorate the services of late Abdus Sattar Edhi.
A statement issued by the Central Bank said that Faisal Edhi, son of Abdus Sattar Edhi, was also present on the occasion.
Governor State Bank, Ashraf Mahmood Wathra, presented the commemorative coin to Faisal Edhi.
Governor SBP paid tribute to the late Abdul Sattar Edhi and informed the audience that Pakistan had issued only five commemorative coins highlighting personalities including Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammed Iqbal, Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, and now Abdus Sattar Edhi.
Edhi is the only social worker who has been honored with a commemorative coin, he said.
He stated that in July 2016, the State Bank had organized a condolence gathering to pay homage to Edhi, where the commemorative coin announcement was made.
On the recommendation of the State Bank, the Prime Minister had decided to issue a coin to commemorate Edhi's services at national level.
The wide scope of Edhi Foundation's services reflects the late philanthropist's deep insight into various social issues, he said, adding that in rendering his services Edhi made no distinctions of geographical limits, color, race, nationality and religion.
The best way to pay tribute to Edhi Sahib is to espouse his cause and cooperate in all philanthropic activities, he added.
Faisal Edhi thanked the SBP and the government of Pakistan for issuing the coin commemorating Edhi's services to the humanity.

A bomb apparently targeting a mosque in Pakistan's northwestern city of Parachinar killed at least 22 people on Friday and wounded dozens in an attack claimed by the Pakistani Taliban.
The explosion in a remote area bordering Afghanistan came as people gathered for Friday prayers near the women's entrance of a Shia mosque in the central bazaar, the latest in a series of attacks across Sunni-majority Pakistan this year.
The local political agent, Ikramullah Khan, said the death toll had reached 22, with 70 wounded.
Sajid Hussain, a parliamentarian from Parachinar, said gunfire preceded the blast, which he described as a suicide attack. The city is located in an area with a large Shia population.
"The attack took place in a busy area and a women's mosque appears to be the target," he said.
The banned Islamist militant group Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), often referred to as the Pakistani Taliban, said the blast was part of its operation Ghazi, named after a radical Islamist leader killed by Pakistani security forces in 2007.
Following a string of earlier incidents this year, the latest attack adds to fears of an increase in sectarian violence in Pakistan, a nuclear-armed state of some 200 million people.
Last month, more than 80 people were killed and dozens wounded in an attack on a crowded Sufi shrine in southern Pakistan that was claimed by Islamic State.
In January, at least 21 people were killed when an explosion hit a vegetable market in Parachinar, capital of the Kurram tribal region, where Pakistani security forces have battled militant groups for years.
That attack was claimed by the TTP and a branch of another militant group, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Al Alami.
Authorities said a military rescue helicopter had been sent to the scene to help evacuate the injured.
Mumtaz Hussain, a doctor at the Agency Headquarters Hospital in the region, said five bodies, including a woman and two children, and more than three dozen wounded had been brought to the hospital and an appeal for blood donors had been made.
"Patients are being brought to us in private cars and ambulances and we have received over three dozen patients so far," Hussain told Reuters.
The attacks have shattered hopes that Pakistan may have come through the militant violence that has scarred its recent history and increased pressure on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's government to show it was improving security.
Sharif condemned Friday's attack and said the government would keep up efforts to "eliminate the menace of terrorism".
In a statement, he said: "The network of terrorists has already been broken and it is our national duty to continue this war until the complete annihilation of the scourge of terrorism from our soil."
In the wake of last month's attack in southern Sindh province, security forces launched a major crackdown across Pakistan, killing or detaining hundreds of suspected militants and closing off the border with Afghanistan for several days.

It’s only been a few days since one of the photos sent back by NASA’s Juno probe took our breath away, but now even more of the craft’s stellar photography is coming to light. Juno is currently making its way around Jupiter, and taking lots and lots of photos along the way. The images are sent back to Earth without much color, meaning that photography gurus here on our planet need to spruce them up a bit to make them look more “real.”

Three civilians were killed and 28 other people were injured in anti-India protests that erupted yesterday following a gunbattle between rebels and government forces that killed a rebel in disputed Kashmir, police and witnesses said.
The gun battle began after police and soldiers cordoned off the southern town of Chadoora following a tip that at least one militant was hiding in a house, said Inspector-General Syed Javaid Mujtaba Gillani.
As the fighting raged, hundreds of residents chanting anti-India slogans marched near the area in an attempt to help the trapped rebel escape.
Witnesses said intense clashes between rock-throwing protesters and government forces erupted just a few hundred meters (yards) from the besieged house, with police and paramilitary soldiers firing shotgun pellets and tear gas to stop the protest.
However, clashes spread to multiple places in the area.
Later, government forces fired into the crowd, killing three civilians, including a teenager, and injuring at least 20 others, police said, adding that eight police and soldiers were also injured in the clashes
