Filmmakers from Qatar took the spotlight at the sixth Ajyal Film Festival, the annual cinema event by the Doha Film Institute, at the Red Carpet Gala of the ‘Made in Qatar’ presented by Ooredoo programme on Thursday evening.
The directors and talents associated with the 16 films ‘Made in Qatar’ walked the red carpet and interacted with the media and audiences. The films by Qataris and those who call Qatar home are presented in two programmes of eight short films each.
Following the successful screening of Program 1, the Made in Qatar Program 2 will be held on Saturday, December 1, at 7 PM at the Katara Drama Theatre. This will be followed by the Made in Qatar award ceremony.
Repeat screenings will be held on Sunday (Dec. 2) at 5:30 PM (Programme 1) and 8:30 PM (Programme 2) at Novo Cinemas, The Pearl.
Tickets to the screenings are priced QR25 and are available at FNAC stores (Lagoona Mall and Doha Festival City) and the Ajyal Katara Main Box office, Building 12. Tickets can be purchased online www.dohafilminstitute.com/filmfestival. Holders of Culture Pass by Qatar Museums will get a QR5 discount on all general screenings.

The Freedom of Self Expression, Ajyal Talks will take place on Friday at 0500 PM to 0600 PM in Katara Building 16 and The Galant Little Tailor and A performance Desperately in Need of an Audience from 0630pm - 0830pm at Katara Esplanade KE-AS
