Caretaker Government Formed In Sovereign Afghanistan

Kabul, 07 Sept. 2021

Zabiullah Mujahid, Spokesperson, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced today 33 members cabinet led by Mohammed Hasan Akhund, Head of Advisory Council (Rehbri Shura) as the caretaker government after recapturing their country from the foreign invaders who ruled Afghanistan since October 2001. Taliban forces have captured Capital city of Kabul on 15th of August 2021, US forces vacated Afghanistan on 31st August 2021 under an international agreement signed between US and Taliban at Doha in February 2020.

US forces were supposed to leave Afghanistan completely by 30th of April 2021, however, US President Biden extended the date till 11th of September 2021. Following are cabinet members of the interim government :

Zabiullah Mujahid said that the remaining posts will be announced after careful deliberation.

Mullah Mohammed Hasan Akhund, Prime Minister in Caretaker government from Kandahar, is on a United Nations sanctions list. He has served as Foreign Minister during last Taliban government (1996-2001).

Sirajuddin Haqqani, appointed as Interior Minister is among the most wanted list of US FBI.

Mullah Haibatullah Akhunzada, the Taliban’s supreme leader has assured the Afghans that new leadership would ensure peace, prosperity and development in the country, people should not try to leave the country. He said that we will rebuild our war-torn country.
