The visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Turkey has aroused great interest in the Middle East countries, including Qatar. Both Uzbekistan and Turkey hold crucial strategic partnerships with the State of Qatar.
The unique bond between Uzbekistan and Turkiye is exemplified by Turkiye's first country to recognise Uzbekistan in 1991, followed by their participation in the regional alliance in Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
This partnership has facilitated around US$ 4 billion in bilateral trade, attracted over 1300 Turkish companies to invest in various sectors of Uzbekistan, and established a framework for regular communication between the leadership of both countries through the High- Level Strategic Cooperation Council in 2018.
The Third session of the Council, convened in Ankara on June 6, underscored the unwavering dedication of Uzbekistan and Turkiye leadership to further deepen their comprehensive political dialogue and expand mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
The notable growth in bilateral relations, trade, investments, joint projects, joint ventures, air travel, and collaboration across education, healthcare, tourism, culture, art, and sports is evidently driven by political determination and the historically fraternal ties between both the nations.
