Lulu Group kicks off Book Fair at Lulu Hypermarket Barwa city ladt Wednesday and will last till 2oth August 2017. It is organised in collaboration with Crescent Book Shop, brings to Qatar a range of books to satiate varied tastes. Khaled Al Zeyana of Qatar News Agency was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Among guests included Habeeb Rahman, Executive Director of Friends Cultural Centre, Sheela Tomy, renowned writer and Executive Member of Friends Cultural Centre, Shanavas P.M., Regional Manager of Lulu Group, senior management of Lulu Group and dignitaries. Emphasized on raising awareness and inculcating the reading habit to a generation more technologically inclined, the Lulu Book Fair is aimed at focusing on reading for knowledge, fun, opportunities and inspiration, especially for the younger generation. The fair will have quite an offering which a book lover searches for - be it fiction, Non-fiction, Cookery, children’s books, self-help, Islamic, arts, philosophy or history, management, classics and lifestyle too has got prominence. Children need not get disappointed as there is enough to keep them interested in the fair. Lulu Book Fair is a celebration of discovering books, discovering reading and discovering the genre of storytelling. The Lulu Book Fair is an attempt to inculcate the reading habits and develop literacy skills within an enjoyable environment, broaden imagination, improve talents, enhance creative thinking skills, introduce positive behavior & attitudes and enhance work skills. It also offer a platform for the latest Arab and foreign publications to showcase diverse cultures and literacy styles. The gain in popularity and its role in enriching cultural understanding has made it a platform for connecting, engaging and learning about seasoned authors and uncovering new ones.
