Qatar: Week-long Organic Products Festival Inaugurated at Lulu Hypermarkets

On-going Women's Day Celebrations, Lulu Hypermarkets across State of Qatar inaugurated on Monday a week-long festival to promote organic and healthy products.

The festival took off on 12th March will end on 18th March was jointly inaugurated by Ivonne A-Baki, Ambassador of Ecuador and Ewa Polano, Ambassador of Sweden at Lulu Hypermarket, Al Messila branch.

Among present on the occasion included Dana Plesa, Charge d’ Affaires of the Romanian Embassy, Viviana Malvina Sosa, Head of Commercial Section of Argentinian Embassy, Ilona Shtrom, Senior Commercial Officer,  U.S. Embassy, Anissa Lahrenche, Senior Commercial Specialist, U.S. Embassy, Palma Libbote, Italian Business Council and Shaijan MO, Regional Director of Lulu Group, Shanavas PM, Regional Manager of Lulu Group and number of dignitaries from various sectors.

Lulu has been actively promoting organic and healthy products for the last few years by extending the products range to include everything from fresh produce to packed food and non-food items. There are over 1,200 organic products at Lulu Stores across many categories sourced both locally and globally to meet the demands of the large cosmopolitan population residing here.

A special section is dedicated in all Lulu stores to promote this category. Items on sale include fresh and dry organic food products as well as condiments and oils like Yoghurt, Salmon, Rice, Honey, Sauces, Quinoa, Pasta, Coconut Oil, Tea, Vinegar, Juices, Butter, Vegetables, Meat, Fruits and many more.

There is a range of Textiles, which are produced using Organic Cotton sourced from India.

Apart from sourcing locally, Lulu also imports a huge of products through its own offices in the US, UK, Spain, India and the Far East to ensure uninterrupted supply at the most competitive prices. Besides, Organic products are regularly being imported from Holland, France, Italy, Mexico, Chile and Sri Lanka.  This has helped bring sustainability in the market and has helped lower the price barrier to make organic products more affordable.

As part of the promotion, a wide range of organic products are on promotion and shoppers can sample many products before buying them.  The festival will continue for a week with a special display of products country-wise.
