The Association of Filipino Real Estate Executives in Qatar (AFREEQ) paid a courtesy call to the Philippine Embassy in Doha and formally briefed HE Madomel Celo D. Melicor, Philippine Ambassador to Qatar, on the organization's advocacies and ongoing initiatives.

As per the press release by AFREEQ, it's leadership highlighted its mission to promote the Philippines as a premier real estate investment destination and its efforts to support Filipino real estate professionals in Qatar, particularly in preparing for broker licensure examinations in both Qatar and the Philippines.
The Doha based Philippines entrepreneurs forum also emphasized its commitment to the professional development of Filipino real estate practitioners, helping them become the realtors of choice in Qatar under full compliance with Qatari real estate laws.
Ambassador Melicor commended AFREEQ’s noble advocacies, underscoring the vital importance of financial literacy among Filipinos—not only in terms of real estate investment but also through diversified financial instruments.
He noted that empowering overseas Filipinos with sound financial knowledge contributes meaningfully to nation-building.
Present on the occasion was also Vice Consul Monica Ramsy Calangian, who reflected a shared vision for uplifting the Filipino community in Qatar through ethical, informed, and strategic real estate engagement.
During the meeting, AFREEQ also announced its ongoing preparations for the 6th Philippine Property Investment Show – Qatar (PPIS-Q), scheduled for October 2025, which will also mark AFREEQ’s 10th anniversary in Qatar. The event is expected to feature key developers and stakeholders from the Philippines and the broader Qatari real estate sector.
The AFREEQ delegation was led by its Founding Chairman, Dr. Joseph Timothy Rivera, and Vice Chairman, Nuaira Muhammad, over-all chair of the PPIS-Q organizing committee, along with representatives from major Philippine real estate developers.
