The 15th Milipol Qatar Exhibition and Conference, a premier event focused on internal security and public safety, under the theme of 'Technology in the service of security' was inaugurated today by Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Qatar's Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya). This major global event, organized by the Ministry of Interior, is being held over three days at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

Among the prominent diverse group of the dignitaries participated at the opening ceremony included Staff Lt. Gen. Abdul Ameer Kamil Al-Shammari, Minister of Interior of Iraq; Yerzhan Sadenov, Minister of Interior of Kazakhstan; Dr. Vincent Biruta, Minister of Interior of Rwanda; and Nicolas Daragon, Minister Delegate for Everyday Security, French Ministry of Interior;  police chiefs; ambassadors; security experts; and representatives from leading international companies specializing in security and artificial intelligence technology; and high-ranking officials from Qatar.

Following the opening, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad AlThani along with the dignitaries toured the exhibition, exploring numerous pavilions showcasing the latest security technologies, innovative equipment, and civil defense systems. They received detailed explanations on how these advanced security solutions function, as well as their potential roles in enhancing internal security, crime prevention, and public safety.

The exhibition underscores Qatar's dedication to leveraging technology to tackle evolving security challenges, aligning with Qatar’s National Vision 2030 to ensure robust security measures.
Over 250 international and local companies along with six major international pavilions are showcasing most modern, innovative and high tech security products. The three-day exhibition will also feature seminars on critical security topics, including cybersecurity, civil defense, and airport and border security, with 15 presentations scheduled by experts.

Spanning on 23,000 square meters with an additional outdoor area displaying the Ministry of Interior's vehicle fleet, this event reinforces Qatar’s commitment to global security cooperation and advancing its technological capabilities in internal security and public safety.
