Amir of state of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas on Monday held a meeting at the Amiri Diwan and discussed the most prominent developments in Palestine.
The Palestinian president briefed the Amir of State of Qatar on the latest developments related to the Palestinian cause and the peace process in the Middle East.
Abbas expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Amir for Qatar’s constant support to the brotherly Palestinian people.
Amir of State of Qatar affirmed Qatar’s firm position regarding the Palestinian cause and support for the brotherly Palestinian people in establishing their independent state with East Jerusalem as its Capital, in accordance with the decisions of international legitimacy, the two-state solution and the Arab Peace initiative.
During the meeting, they also discussed ways to consolidate bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, in addition to discussing a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
