The Amir of State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani graced the 7th Graduation Ceremony of the Police College with his esteemed presence this morning.
The event was a grand occasion, celebrating the achievements of the graduates while highlighting the college's pivotal role in training future leaders in law enforcement and security.
The ceremony also welcomed distinguished guests from friendly nations, including the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Iraq, Lt. Gen. Abdul Amir Kamel Al-Shammari, and the Minister of Interior of Palestine, Maj. Gen. Ziad Mahmoud Hab Al-Reeh. In addition to these dignitaries, the event was attended by Sheikhs, ministers, members of the diplomatic corps, senior military and police officials, and members of the media, further emphasizing the international significance of the occasion.
A total of 136 cadets graduated from the Police College, representing a diverse group from Qatar, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia. The graduates included 107 Qatari cadets, 24 from Palestine, 4 from Iraq, and 1 from Somalia, underscoring the Academy's commitment to fostering collaboration and excellence across borders.
The ceremony featured a series of impressive activities, beginning with the passing-out parade by the graduating cadets. This was complemented by a synchronized march past by a group of military personnel, reflecting the discipline and rigorous training instilled at the Academy.
His Highness The Amir personally inspected the guard of honour by the seventh batch of graduates, showcasing his dedication to supporting the development of the nation's security forces. He also observed the ceremonial handing and taking over of the Academy flag, symbolizing the continuity of tradition and excellence.
The graduating cadets, proudly carrying the slogan ‘Officers of Tomorrow’ participated in an inspiring oath-taking ceremony, pledging their commitment to uphold the values and responsibilities entrusted to them as law enforcement officers. They concluded the event by singing the Police College anthem, a moment that resonated with pride and unity among the graduates and attendees alike.
