Doha to host 3rd Information Security Conference in November 2016

Doha, October 04 (QNA) – Central Bank Qatar announced hosting of 3rd Annual Information Security Conference on November 1. Abdul Hadi Ahen, Acting Director of Banking Systems, Payment & Settlement Department at QCB told that this year's edition will shed light on the role played by cooperation and pre-emptive moves in electronic protection. He told that a number of financial and Cyber Security experts will take part this year. He stressed on the importance of conference for public and private sector. ‘ Because of its importance and strong response in previous two events, it is decided to hold yearly as an international event.

Among 900 participants in forthcoming conference, World Bank, IMF and the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) are few from participating international leading institutions. Beside conference, leading companies from Cyber Security sector will also be exhibiting innovative and latest technological solutions for network and information security. QCB official told that among speakers this year is also included UK's Cyber Security Ambassador and the former head of the City of London Police. QCB Official told that Central Banks from GCC States are cooperating in approaching to local banks for ensuring their participation.
