Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, Director General of Public Security inaugurated the new Al Khor Service Center. New complex includes service center of the Ministry of Interior and other governmental services.
Present on the occasion were Muhammad Abdullah Saeed Al-Subaei, Director Consular Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Brig. Muhammad Ahmad Al Ateeq, Director General of Nationality, Borders and Expatriates Affairs and Muhammad Muslim Al Rashdi, Director, Government Services Complex Department.
Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi in his address on the occasion said that the strategy of the Interior Ministry to facilitate service centers across the country is now nearing completion, as it so far opened 19 service centers and 4 more new centers are to be opened in the nearest future.
'Hukoomi services will be soon available in Ras Lafan, Pearl Qatar and Ruwais also', he said that almost 80% of the geographical areas of the state has been covered with MOI service centers.
Public Security Chief said that the new service center is equipped with the latest devices used in the services of passports, fingerprint and criminal information and evidences that would help to complete the procedures within shorter time. These devices will be soon installed in other service centers, He added.
Brig. Muhammad Ahmad Al Atieq, Director General of GDNBEA said that the new center is all set to provide all services available in the headquarters of GDNBEA in addition with other governmental services. The citizens and residents of Al Khor can get services of different ministries under one roof now.
He said that all staffs in the new center are capable to provide any services required by the customers without moving to other counters. These include services related to visa, residence, exit permit, company registration renewal and service of the recruitment committee that facilitates remote interviewing of the applicants.
Muhammad Muslim Al Rashid, Director, Government Service Complex Department said on the occasion that the new center, 9th of its kind offers services of seven ministries namely, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Administrative Development and Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Kahrama.
Real Estate Registration, Commercial Licenses, work contracts, bill payments and all other services are available in Al Khor Service Center.
Ambassador Muhammad Abdullah Saeed Al-Subaei, Director Consular Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry said that the department is very keen to complete the documents attestation and authorization services to the citizens and residents within very shorter period, which needs only three minutes. All staffs in the service centers are eligible to provide all services that the customers require.
He added that the applicant can approach the department in case of facing any problems in completion of their required services easily.
Brig. Engineer Muhammad Thani Al Mudahaka, Director, Building Affairs Department said that the new Al Khor Service Center includes 13 counters for other government services and 16 counters for MOI services. The center also includes a separate building for Nationality and Travel Documents Department facilitated for the services of the citizens with special areas for men and women. All buildings are equipped with latest safety tools and have spacious car parking space and waiting halls.
Lt. Colonel Nasser Abdul Karim Al Humaidi, Director of Al Khor Service Center said that the service center will work in two shifts now from 6-1 PM in the morning time and 3-6 PM in the evening time. The evening timings will be changed from 1-8P M in near future.
