Doha, 02 Sept.2021

Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said Qatar is working with Turkey for potential technical support to restart operations in Kabul airport.

“We are working very hard (and) we remain hopeful that we will be able to operate it as soon as possible… Hopefully in the next few days we will hear some good news,” the Qatari foreign minister said today in Doha addressing at a press conference with his British counterpart Dominique Raab.

Dominique Raab said that Britain has no immediate plans to recognise Taliban government, however, 'there is a need to engage with the Taliban on Afghanistan. He said that he will judge Taliban by their actions, not by their words.

Meeting the dead line of evacuation, US withdrawn all it's troops from Afghanistan and large number of Afghans worked with them during 20 years of US troops fought with the Afghan warriors. US-Taliban signed a peace accord in Doha on 29th of February 2020 which kept both the fighters on ground avoiding any clash between them.

US forces controlled Afghanistan's Capital Kabul airport was left damaged when US forces evacuated their last soldier on 30th August 2021. Taliban have captured complete Afghanistan on 15th of August, Capital Kabul as last city.

US, UK along with other allied countries  have so far refused recognizing new Afghan government and from offering any helping hand meeting the giant economy crisis left over by the foreign occupied forces. Pakistan government has stressed the world body to come forward and support Afghan Taliban government in meeting their immediate requirements and to save the people from further miseries and destruction.

The new government in Afghanistan is expected to announce it's cabinet in few days time to face the humanitarian crisis and dire challenges left behind by the occupied foreign forces.
