Doha, October 04 (QNA) – Over 41 million various services were provided during first half of the year 2016 as per a report issued by Qatar's Ministry of Interior. An increase of 27.3% is reported in first half of the year. The report shed light on the ministry's achievements in the services it offers. The report noted that the quality of services also improved, according to feedback from citizens and residents alike.
The report highlighted that the ministry drastically improved its services offered in recent years, mainly due to its reliance on the latest technology to facilitate the procedures.
The move towards electronic services helped speed up the procedures and contributed to the 27.3% increase on a yearly basis. The monthly average for service dealings so far this year was 6,882,291. This equates to 229,410 a year. On average there were 9,559 dealings conducted an hour, or 159 dealings a minute.
