Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Qatar Ashraf Khodjaev has expressed his keenness to enhance bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar, particularly in the economic and other pertinent areas.
The envoy said he felt deeply honored to represent his country in Qatar, being the first resident ambassador of Uzbekistan in Qatar. In a recent conversation with the writer, Ambassador Khodjaev stressed the significant responsibility he bears as his country’s envoy.
He highlighted the robust relationship shared between Qatar and Uzbekistan, underscored by the dynamic and close ties between the leaderships the two countries, which is reflected by the two visits of the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Uzbekistan last year, as well as a visit by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan to Doha.
The envoy noted that these visits have laid the foundation for bolstering bilateral relations across various sectors such as trade, investment, agriculture, IT, and mining, among others.
He praised Qatar’s commendable role and contributions to regional peace, security and towards various sectors, including its role as a dependable energy supplier, particularly in LNG, across multiple regions worldwide. He also lauded Qatar’s efforts
