Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) and AFIF Charity signed today Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote cooperation and joint initiatives that aim to engage children and youth in quality education programmes.
The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation between ROTA and AFIF with the aim of supporting marginalised communities and crisis-prone countries with low educational indicators. Joint action will include the organisation of educational activities and fundraising events as well as the promotion of knowledge sharing and analytical work among other aspects of mutual cooperation in a bid to improve the quality of education.
Essa Al Mannai, Executive Director ROTA said on the occasion that "We are very pleased to have signed this Memorandum of Understanding with AFIF Charity. The agreement reflects our keenness to cooperate with partners, volunteers, local communities and non-governmental organisations to find effective solutions to the challenges facing disadvantaged communities."
He said that “ROTA works closely with partners as well as local charities and non-governmental organisations in addition to other stakeholders in order to provide quality education for all children in primary and secondary schools. At ROTA, we achieve this goal by meeting the real needs of beneficiaries, taking advantage of available local expertise, encouraging the exchange of best practices, equipping people with the required skills and applying innovative, practical and sustainable solutions to address the obstacles that prevent young people from accessing quality education during crisis periods,"
Engineer Ibrahim Bin Ali, CEO of AFIF Charity, said "At AFIF we seek to establish strategic partnerships that support the most vulnerable groups. ROTA is one of the most distinguished organisations, particularly in the field of education, that can assist AFIF in establishing an integrated educational system and finding alternative solutions to provide disadvantaged children access to education. AFIF has implemented a sustainable educational model through philanthropic investments in education. Through our partnership with ROTA’s experienced professionals, we seek to develop field work in targeted communities.”
In line with the MoU, cooperation between ROTA and AFIF will extend for three years from the date of signing the agreement, Ali said, noting that the partnership will advance education in deprived communities.
AFIF Charity since it's inception in 2012 as an NGO in partnership with local charity organisations, in more than 20 countries has been providing assistance in areas like Education, Health and Economic empowerment to deprived communities.
ROTA, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), is working to empower communities through the provision of quality basic and secondary education in Asia.
