Sasol Renews Al Attiyah Foundation Membership

Sasol, South Africa's Int'l integrated chemicals and energy company, today announced the renewal of its membership of the Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation for Energy and Sustainable Development. Press release by the company says 'The renewal is part of Sasol's international efforts to support sustainable development. It cements the strong relations and long-standing partnership between the two organisations as they look towards a sustainable future'.

In line with the vision of  Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, Chairman of Foundation and it's ongoing relationship with Sasol helps to contribute to a greater understanding of energy sustainability and energy markets.

Al-Attiyah Foundation is the leading independent energy and sustainable development think thank in Qatar and has become highly respected by energy leaders bo­th internationally and in Qatar.

Dr. Ibrahim Ibrahim, the Vice Chairman of Al-Attiyah Foundation commented: “We thank Sasol for its continued support for energy sustainability and its involvement in the Qatari and global community. We look forward to a continued partnership as we endeavor to provide knowledge and insights into global energy and sustainable development issues for the benefit of members and the society at large."

As an international integrated chemicals and energy company and a partner with Qatar Petroleum in the ORYX GTL Venture, Sasol turns special attention to the energy and sustainable development sector in Qatar and the world.

Sasol has also worked with Al-Attiyah Foundation to offer oil and gas companies in Qatar a training workshop on accessibility awareness and accessibility auditing through the use of the auditing smartphone application launched by its initiative Accessible Qatar (AQ).

The training helps participants understand international accessibility standards, key accessibility factors that should be addressed when carrying out an accessibility audit, potential challenges the disabled might face and the technical aspects of the audit.
