Vodafone Qatar will use the power of media to inspire a movement to say “Shukran”, meaning thank you in Arabic, to spread positivity throughout the holy month of Ramadan in a bid to encourage the country to show their appreciation for everything and everyone in their lives. Most importantly the little things that we tend to miss.

The Company launched a campaign to help do that which will run across all its channels, advertising, offers and corporate social responsibility activities throughout the holy month.

Vodafone Qatar proudly support local talent and worked with a fully Qatari production house to create its TV commercial. The TV commercial was directed by Mohammed Al-Ibrahim, a well-known Qatari director.

Mohammed Al Yami, External Affairs Director, Vodafone Qatar said: “People find themselves constantly consumed with their daily lives that they end up missing the little things. We want to use this holy month to encourage everyone to start taking the time to reflect and show their appreciation for these little blessings in life. This is why “Shukran” is at the heart of our campaign this Ramadan as we believe it’s a small gesture that can go a long way. We hope people will carry on the message and spread the positivity.”

To say “Shukran” to their loyal customers and to spread the spirit of unity and appreciation, Vodafone Qatar is giving all their customers the opportunity to gift up to 100 MB of free data every day and with every recharge:

Prepaid- With every recharge of QR 20 and above, Prepaid customers automatically receive 100MB (25MB x 4) of data to gift to up to 4 friends and family. Simply dial *786* number of the recipient # and they will receive their 25MB gift right away. Customers can gift the free data to one single recipient or multiple recipients. Recharges below QR 20 will receive 25MB of data to gift.

Postpaid- All Postpaid customers will receive 100MB of data every day to gift friends or family. Simply access the Shukran tab in the My Vodafone app and enter the recipient’s number and they will receive their 100MB gift right away. You can also send the free data by dialing *786* number of the recipient #.

In addition, Vodafone Qatar is offering its customers a special Call to Prayer and Supplication (Azan & Duaa) ring back tone for just QAR 7 /month. To avail this offer, simply send SMS “SHUKRAN” to 195.

Finally, the Company will have a lot of engaging activities and competitions on its social media channels throughout the month of Ramadan.
