Doha, Qatar 09 August 2017 (ATQ) Talking to media both local and international correspondents in Doha, Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways told this morning that Qatar Airways is evaluating the offer made two days earlier for the use of two air routes. Qatar registered aircrafts are blocked from using the airspace of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and Egypt as part of economic sanctions enforced by the four countries since 5th of June 2017. Qatar Airways is looking at "the flexibility and benefit" of one "very short route" while another route off the Egyptian coast was 'useless' to the airline, Al-Baker said at a Doha press conference on a question by www.asiantelegraphqatar.com. The press conference held at the Hotel Oryx Rotana Doha convened jointly by Qatar Tourism Authority, Immigration Department of Ministry of Interior, and Qatar Airways. Qatar announced today free of cost visit visa on arrival for 80 countries.
