Local Education Leaders Discuss Themes for WISE 2017
Doha, Qatar, 11 December 2016
The countdown to the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) 2017 recently began with a World Café workshop bringing together local leaders and education experts to discuss ideas for the event, set to take place in Doha from 14 - 16 November 2017.
The WISE team held the workshop, ‘Designing WISE 2017,’ at Qatar Foundation’s Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU). WISE will announce further details about the summit early next year.
Stavros N. Yiannouka, CEO, WISE said, “The World Café workshop produced substantive discussions that will assist the WISE team in designing and organising a comprehensive and compelling program for next year’s summit.
As a community-based initiative, WISE depends on the input of a diverse range of leaders from education and other sectors to assist in framing the core thematic focus and scope of the summit.”
WISE is an initiative of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF). The biennial WISE Summit is expected to gather more than 1,500 stakeholders from around the world for discussions and collaboration toward tackling education challenges in all contexts.
