Philippines music icons Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo Mañalac thrilled a house packed 8,000 music lovers at a musical concert held at the state of the art Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC), Doha, Qatar. Present on the mega musical world class event included Philippine ambassador, Lilibeth D. Pono; Ambassador Sira Swangsilpa of Thailand; Wong Chow Ming, ambassador of Singapore; and Ambassador Tran Duc Hung of Vietnam; Philippines Consul General, Cassandra Sawadjaan; Vice Consul Monica Remsy Calangian; Assistant Labor Attache Atty. Don Albert Philippe Pangcog; representatives from Visit Qatar; Joseph Joseph, General Manager of Bo’s Coffee and Papa John.
The event is a reflection of Qatar’s growing prominence as a global hub for world-class events and entertainment. This event also celebrated the past five years of success at Qabayan Radio but also set the stage for future cultural engagements that will continue to inspire and bring people together in Qatar
The event aptly named 'SarahGxBamboo Live In Doha', also commemorated 5th Anniversary of Radio Kabayan (Doha based Filipino FM Radio, sponsor of the event).
The concert, under the patronage of Visit Qatar was sponsored by Bo’s Coffee; Papa John; ’s, under the patronage of Visit Qatar. The rapid sell-out of tickets, with 25% snapped up within the first 20 hours of on-line sale, highlighted the strong demand and enthusiasm for this unique musical collaboration. The organizers of the concert, Qabayan Radio, established on April 1, 2019, has emerged as a crucial platform for reliable information, entertainment, and cultural enrichment. This concert was a testament to the station's success in bridging the Filipino community with the cultural tapestry of Qatar, reinforcing social bonds and cultural exchange through high-quality entertainment.
