The Ministry of Public Health Of Qatar (MOPH) recently hosted five informative sessions on the National Health Strategy 2024-2030 for senior executives in the health sector and healthcare providers.
These sessions aimed to review the strategy's results and priorities, fostering a shared understanding and promoting collaboration to ensure its successful implementation.
The Ministry’s goal is to create a unified vision for the future of healthcare in Qatar and improve healthcare delivery to the community.
The sessions were designed to inform key stakeholders from both the public and private health sectors about the strategy's aspirations, priorities, and expected outcomes. They included presentations, open discussions, and interactive dialogues that helped shape a common understanding of how the strategy will impact the healthcare sector. The focus was on strategy-related projects and their phased implementation in the coming years.
The Strategic Planning, Performance, and Innovation Department of the Ministry provided an overview of the strategy’s priorities, outcomes, initiatives, and projects, explaining that the strategy is based on Qatar’s National Vision 2023 and the Third National Health Development Strategy 2024-2030. The sessions highlighted how the National Health Strategy aligns with the long-term vision for Qatar’s healthcare system and emphasized the role of both public and private sector stakeholders in its success. The phased implementation of various projects was discussed, offering a clear roadmap for future healthcare delivery.
The National Health Strategy 2024-2030 identifies three key strategic priorities: improving the health and well-being of the population, achieving excellence in service delivery and patient experience, and enhancing the efficiency and resilience of the healthcare system. The overarching goal is to build a "health-focused society supported by a comprehensive healthcare system based on clinical excellence, sustainability, and innovation."
The strategy will be implemented through 2030, with an executive plan targeting 15 outcomes, supported by a variety of important initiatives and projects.
A comprehensive communication plan has been developed to ensure continuous engagement with all stakeholders, raise awareness, and promote patient participation in their healthcare journey.
This approach also focuses on improving patient satisfaction across all healthcare facilities, prioritizing the patient experience, continuing previous projects, and supporting Qatar’s economic diversification agenda.
