Emir Of Qatar Pays Visit to HMC And Umm Salal Health Center

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of State of Qatar paid a visit on Tuesday to a number of health centers in Hamad Medical City to see in person the latest developments of the healthcare infrastructure projects in the country, its standard compared with international health developments and to check it's capacity to meet the health care requirements with the country's population growth.

The Emir visited Qatar Rehabilitation Institute, the Ambulatory Care Center, Women’s Wellness and Research Center and the Integrated Surgery Center. Emir also inspected Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the new emergency building.

Dr Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health briefed the Emir on the enhancement of medical services and status of the on-going projects.

Emir of Qatar also visited the Primary Health Care Center in Umm Salal where he was briefed on the services and various sections including Family Medicine Clinics, Well Baby clinics, Vaccinations and Dental clinics.

During Emir's visit, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior also accompanied.
