Lolwah Rashid AlKhater, Official Spokesperson of the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management has said that time has come to gradually implement four stages to lift some restrictions while taking all the necessary precautions effective 15th of June as First Phase, 1st of July, 1st of August and 1st of September 2nd, 3rd and 4th phase accordingly.
She said that the gradual lifting does not in any way mean the lack of application or negligence of following the precautionary measures. She said that the transition from one stage to the next is largely dependent on strict indications and the extent of everyone's commitment to the instructions.
She said that in the event of non-compliance or if one of the indicators is negatively affected, restrictions may be reimposed or delay the start of the stages.
She said that State of Qatar is the lowest globally in the number of deaths, which confirms the strength and efficiency of the health system. AlKhater said the gradual lifting of restrictions is necessary, and that precautionary measures and their continuation are necessary and must continued to be followed by.
She lauded the success in controlling the pandemic due to the commitment of the majority of society members to the instructions imposed by the State to confront Covid-19 virus. She said that it enabled flatten the curve for a long period of time which contributed to the success in facing the pandemic, and avoiding pressure on the health system.
