Syrian Charge d' Affaires in Qatar, Dr Belal Tourkya has extended heartfelt gratitude to the leadership and people of Qatar on their unwavering support and belief in the Syrian people's rightful struggle to guide their nation toward peace, security and development within Syria and the region.

In an exclusive interview with Ashraf Siddiqui, Dr Belal Turkya, Charge d'Affaires at the sole embassy in the world run by Syrian opposition emphysized Syria's inherent potential, asserting that its land and people posses the capability to wisely manage their affairs and contribute significantly to regional peace and progress.

Syrian embassy in Qatar is the only embassy in world which has been running by opposition since 27  March 2013,  a day after the opponents of Bashar Assad were given Damascus’ seat in the Arab League.

The head of the Syrian National Coalition, Ahmed Moaz Al-Khatib and then Qatari State Minister for Foreign Affairs Khaled Al-Attiya inaugurated the representative office dubbed the “Embassy of the Syrian National Coalition.”

Dr Belal Turkiya onfide nce that after enduring years of oppression,

sacrifices and struggle, the emerging Syrian leadership, backed by a united populace and a rch civilization spanning thousands of years, would demonstrate to the world that Syria is a responsible and cultured nation.

Calling for unity among his compatriots, he urged Syrians to come together in rebuilding the country, restoring peace, revitalizing the economy, and presenting a positive image of Syria to the global community. Despite the immense challenges ahead, Charge d' Affaires of Syria expressed optimism that with Syria's vast skills, resources, and support from peace-loving, friendly nations, the country could recover swiftly from decades of hardship.

Dr Tourkya also highlighted the eagerness of Syrian refugees to return home as a sign of hope and determination to rebuild the country. He underscored the collective effort required, emphasizing that such unity would not only benefit Syria but also strengthen its ties with the international community, paving the way for mutual economic growth and cultural exchange.

He encapsulated this vision with a call to 'bring them back, adopt them, and rebuild together'. Addressing the Syrian community in Qatar, Tourkya delivered a message of hope and solidarity, describing this perios as a historic turning point.

He stressed the need to transcend divisions, foster love and solidarity, and work collaboratively for a brighter futrure. Acknowledging past fears and hesitations, he reassured his audience that now is the time to move forward with courage and focus on the well-being of Syria and its institutions.

In conclusion, Tourkya reaffirmed the importance of unity, mutual support, and collective action, expressing his steadfast belief that Syria's future depends on the shared efforts of all Syrians, both within the country and abroad.
