Dr. Tudor underscored the EU Delegation’s commitment to fostering meaningful relationships with Qatar’s media professionals and strengthening cross-cultural understanding between Europe and the Arab world.
In his welcoming address on the occasion, The EU envoy said that Ramadan is a time of reflection, generosity, and togetherness. It is also an opportunity to build bridges between cultures and strengthen partnerships through dialogue.
Dr Tudor added that 'The EU Delegation is honoured to engage with Qatar’s vibrant media sector, recognizing its essential role in shaping narratives and fostering connections between our societies'.
He said that Suhour gathering provides a warm and inclusive space for discussions on shared interests, media collaboration, and cultural dialogue.
He reaffirmed that EU Delegation remains committed to fostering mutual understanding through social, cultural, and public diplomacy initiatives, reinforcing the deepening ties between the EU and Qatar.
EU envoy said that this initiative aligns with the EU Delegation’s broader efforts to enhance cultural and community engagement in Qatar.
He added that earlier this year, the Delegation organized the (eunited) Ride for Wellness, a cycling event in partnership with EU Member State embassies to celebrate Qatar National Sports Day.
In his concluding remarks he said that the event brought together participants to promote wellness, health, sustainability, and community spirit, reflecting the EU’s shared values with Qatar.
