Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) captured their first UEFA Champions League title in spectacular fashion on Saturday, overwhelming Inter Milan with a 5-0 triumph in the final at Munich’s Allianz Arena. Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring in the 12th minute, followed by Desire Doue’s brace in the 20th and 63rd minutes. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia added to the tally in the 73rd, while Senny Mayulu sealed the comprehensive win in the 86th minute.

Désiré Doué, 19, has been named PlayStation® Player of the Match for the 2025 UEFA Champions League final. He become the first teenager in Champions League history to score twice in a final, registering Paris' second and third goals in their emphatic 5-0 win against Inter in the Munich showpiece.

2025 historic victory, in PSG’s second Champions League final appearance, sees them become only the second French club to claim the prestigious trophy, following Marseille’s triumph in 1993. The result also capped a treble-winning season for the Parisian giants, who had already secured the Ligue 1 and Coupe de France titles.

The final was the centerpiece of a four-day football festival in Munich, with thousands of fans descending on the city for the UEFA Champions Festival in the Olympic Park. From 29 May to 1 June, supporters of all ages enjoyed a vibrant program of entertainment, culture, and sport – all broadcast live at public screenings, including the bustling Königsplatz.

Munich, renowned for its rich football heritage, welcomed fans from near and far to celebrate not just the game, but also the diverse communities that football brings together. The festival highlighted themes of diversity, inclusion, fair play, and the creative spirit inspired by the beautiful game – featuring music, art, eSports, and girls’ football.

The match itself was preceded by an electrifying show in the Munich Football Arena: Linkin Park performed an exclusive set, and star violinist David Garrett delivered a stirring rendition of ‘Seven Nation Army’.

Club legends Javier Zanetti and Javier Pastore also graced the event, presenting the trophy to the stadium in an emotional moment.

In the lead-up to the final, the iconic Champions League trophy toured Munich as part of the official ‘Trophy Experience’, making stops at key landmarks and city institutions involved in hosting the final.

The festivities embodied the city’s motto – ‘We all are champions’– celebrating everyone who contributes to the spirit of the sport, from fans to fair play ambassadors and creative innovators. PSG’s triumph and Munich’s festival showcased the power of football to bring people together, uniting passion, performance, and community spirit.

Qatar Airways made history at the UEFA Champions League final on 31 May in Munich as an official sponsor of both finalists, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Internazionale Milano, and the competition itself – a rare and remarkable achievement. This first ever 'Sponsorship Treble' cements the airline’s place at the heart of the world’s most prestigious club football stage and highlights its global vision, commitment to excellence, and deep-rooted love for the game.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Eng Badr Mohammed Al Meer has said in Nov 2024 while signing the agreement: "We are thrilled to join forces with UEFA. As the Official Airline Partner of the UEFA Champions League, Qatar Airways is dedicated to transporting thousands of fans to this esteemed competition.
