Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) and Lulu Hypermarket Qatar recently signed a two year collaboration agreement, whereby, Lulu Hypermarket will be the official sponsor for Aspire Zone Foundation sports and community events during 2021 and 2022.
The MoU was signed by Abdullah Nasser Al Naemi, Director General of Aspire Logistics and Dr. Mohamed Althaf, Director of Lulu Group International
Abdullah Nasser Al Naemi, Director General of Aspire Logistics, said on the occasion, ' We are pleased to sign this agreement today between our foundation and Lulu Hypermarket Qatar, which is one of the largest retail chains in Asia and the largest in the Middle East with 193 outlets in the GCC.
He said, 'We look forward for a unique collaboration, Lulu will be one of the official sponsors of upcoming events that will be held in Aspire Zone calendar during the next two years, as we always enhance our role in lots of fields and seek to expand the scope of our work and search for new concepts and support all innovative agreements.'
Dr. Mohamed Althaf, Director of Lulu Group International, said, 'We are delighted to sign this collaboration agreement with Aspire Zone foundation. Aspire Zone has emerged as a World Class Center for excellence in promoting sports. It is an honor for us to be associated such a great institution in Qatar.
He said, 'There is also a great synergy in our shared commitment to promote the culture of active and healthy lifestyle, especially among the young. Moving forward we will also explore additional ways to support aspire zone to take this relationship even further'.
Aspire Zone Foundation:
Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) was established by Emiri decree dated 1st January 2008 in order to develop a world-class sporting environment, enhance sports performance and contribute to producing elite local athletes with a comprehensive academic, athletic and mental education fit to compete in various local and global competitions.
AZF also seeks to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among local community members and encourage the growth and development of the sports economy in Qatar to support the Human Development Pillar as outlined in the Qatar National Vision 2030.
AZF works closely with its three member organisations, Aspire Academy, Aspetar and Aspire Logistics, as one integrated institution in a unique ‘Aspire way’ working model.
