Web Summit Qatar 2025: Sweden’s Graphmatech and Qatar’s AiSciA Partner to Advance AI-Powered Materials Development

Swedish deep-tech startup Graphmatech and Qatar-based AI-driven digital decarbonization company AiSciA Informatics LLC announced on Wednesday, last day of Web Summit Qatar 2025, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to drive accelerated innovation in sustainable materials.

The MOU combines Graphmatech’s expertise in graphene-infused materials research and development and manufacturing with AiSciA’s AI-powered materials discovery and quantum computations enabling advancements in industries such as energy, MedTech, high-precision, packaging, and construction. Graphmatech will explore integrating AiSciA’s AI solutions into its materials development, while AiSciA will explore introducing Graphmatech’s technologies and products to Qatar and the GCC region.

Dr. Mamoun Taher, Founder & CTO of Graphmatech in his remarks on the occasion said that the MOU with AiSciA Informatics LLC marks a significant step forward in our mission to revolutionize materials development.

He added that 'We are excited about introducing our advanced materials to Qatar and the broader GCC region, contributing to the region's ambitious sustainability goals. This collaboration exemplifies the power of cross-border innovation and underscores the importance of strategic partnerships in driving meaningful technological advancements'.

This partnership is a testament to the thriving innovation ecosystems collaboration of Qatar and Sweden supported by key stakeholders such as the government of Qatar, the Embassy of Sweden to the state of Qatar, Qatar Foundation, QRDI Council, Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) & HBKU Innovation Center, Swedish Incubators & Science Parks (SISP), Ignite Sweden, Uppsala University Innovation Sweden and  Uppsala Innovation Centre.
