Celebrating a special 20th anniversary, the Qatar Talks community has crowned the remarkable Champion Speakers of Qatar Talks 2025. This cornerstone event which once again proved to be a night where voices found strength and ideas took flight was witnessed by Indian ambassador HE Vipul; Charge d'Affaires of Nepal, Lakhshuman Khanal; Dr. Abdulla Mshadi, CEO of AlWaab City;Tommy Davidson, VP of Starlink; Doha based TMI 2nd Place World Champion, Nisha Shivram; TMI District 116 (Qatar) Director, Alar Mel Mangai, DTM'; among others.
What began in 2004 as the ICC ONE Communication Championships, founded by M.I. Farid, has blossomed into a premier platform that has nurtured over 2,000 residents. This milestone edition was guided by Chief Convener Lornalyn Tallod and expertly hosted by Masters of Ceremonies Freeda Lobo and Christopher Almeida.
In the Adults' Inspirational Speech category, Mahmoud Reda earned the Champion title with “Power of the Pause,” reminding us that “Ambition gives you direction; mental health gives you the energy.” Tariro Dorcas Matibiri won 2nd Place with “The Weeds We Water,” and Roshan Sukheja took 3rd Place with her heartfelt “The Empty Chair.” Roshan was also voted Audience Poll Champion.
The Adults' Tall Tales contest was an evening of laughter. Demonstrating incredible versatility, Mahmoud Reda also claimed the Champion title here with “The Interview That Changed My Life.” Cinderella Williams secured 2nd Place with “The Motherhood Bootcamp,” whileSebastian Mascarenhas won 3rd Place with “I Am Back.” Mahmoud also won the Audience Poll Champion title.
The Youth categories showcased extraordinary talent. In Youth Tall Tales, Sanjeev Sundararaj (DPS Modern Indian School) was crowned Champion for “The Wish.” Sophia Rae D. Jamantoc (Philippine International School) won 2nd Place with “The Bell of Pride,” and Mirudula Vijay Anand (Loyola International School) earned 3rd Place with “The Dancing Dilemma.” Sanjeev also won the Audience Poll Champion title.
In the Youth Inspirational Speech final, Afrin Salma Mohamed Jamaldeen (Ideal Indian School) emerged as Champion with her bold call, “Dare to be Different.” Maria Alessandra B. Endaya (Philippine International School) won 2nd Place with “Becoming the Ate,” and Aaron Sudheendran (DPS Modern Indian School) captured 3rd Place with “The Game of Scores.” Maria Alessandra was voted the Youth Inspirational Audience Poll Champion.
The celebratory evening culminated in a Prize Distribution Ceremony in the presence of Guests of Honor Indian Ambassador HE Vipul; Dr. Abdulla Mshadi, CEO of AlWaab City; and Tommy Davidson, VP of Starlink. This special edition embraced the future with the launch of the new theqatartalks.com website, digital polling, and a dazzling pyrotechnic celebration.
Expressing deep appreciation, Doha Talks founder M.I. Farid thanked the eloquent speakers for stirring the hearts of the audience and acknowledged the vital role of the event's generous sponsors. He also extended his congratulations to all the entire audience present till the end for their daring and heartfelt support and contributions to the evening.
