The Royal Thai Embassy in Doha officially launched Thai Restaurant Week 2025: A Thai Culinary Journey in Qatar, a ten-day nationwide culinary event celebrating the richness and diversity of Thai cuisine. Held at Isaan Restaurant, Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel & Villas, the launch brought together over 100 esteemed guests, including officials from Qatari government entities, members of the diplomatic corps, private sector leaders, media professionals, and prominent influencers.
Organized in collaboration with 13 Thai restaurants across Qatar, the initiative aims to showcase the culinary creativity and cultural heritage of Thailand through specially curated dining experiences. The event provided guests with an immersive introduction to Thai hospitality, including live cooking stations, traditional performances, and tastings of signature dishes featured throughout the campaign.
In his opening remarks, HE Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, emphasized the broader goals of the initiative. He noted that Thai Restaurant Week is not only a celebration of cuisine but also a platform for fostering cultural exchange and deepening ties between Thailand and Qatar.
Ambassador Swangsilpa reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting Thai culinary arts in Qatar, in collaboration with local Thai restaurants and with the ongoing support of Qatari partners. He highlighted that this year also marks the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Qatar—an occasion that reflects a growing partnership across various sectors.
Running from 21 to 31 August 2025, Thai Restaurant Week 2025 is the first-ever countrywide Thai food festival in Qatar. Participating restaurants are offering exclusive prix-fixe menus at three accessible price points—QAR 39, QAR 59, and QAR 89—featuring iconic Thai dishes that capture the balance of spicy, savory, sweet, and aromatic flavors that define Thailand’s culinary identity.
