Batting first in the summit clash, Pakistan posted a towering 347 for 8, driven by a truly exceptional innings from Sameer Minhas. Rising to the occasion on the biggest stage, Minhas produced a match-defining 172 off 113 deliveries, peppered with 17 fours and 9 sixes, completely seizing control of the final. He was well supported by Usman Khan (35) and Ahmed Hussain (56), with the pair helping Pakistan dominate the middle overs and keep the scoring rate high. Late contributions from Farhan Yousaf (19), Niqab Shafiq (12)* and Mohammad Sayyam (13)* pushed the total well beyond reach.
Chasing a daunting target in the final, India U19 struggled to cope with the pressure and Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack. While Vaibhav Suryavanshi (26 off 10) provided early intent and Deepesh D (36 off 16) fought hard down the order, wickets fell at regular intervals. Ali Raza starred with the ball, claiming 4 wickets, while Abdul Subhan and Mohammad Sayyam picked up two each to dismantle the Indian batting line-up for 156 in 26.2 overs.
The comprehensive win sealed a memorable triumph for Pakistan U19, with Sameer Minhas’ monumental final-century standing out as the defining moment of the tournament and a fitting performance to lift the Asia Cup trophy.
